A Fun Little Getaway in Singer Island

Most people in Florida have a general idea where just about any beach is located. Usually you hear, "Oh, you're going to St. Petersburg. I love the Gulf Coast." Then there is, "You're going to St. Augustine! Have you ever been there at Christmas? The lights are beautiful!" Everyone has a comment or a story for almost every beach.

However, when I mention Singer Island, the general narrative takes a little shift. "Singer Island? Where is that? Never heard of it."

HINT: If someone says that, odds are that it's going to be a great beach.

First, here is a teeny tiny bit about Singer Island

Located on the east coast of Florida, Singer Island is found right between Jupiter and West Palm Beach. It is a quaint, quiet peninsula, full of fantastic views and plenty of places to stay for a little while.

Singer Island is not a beach with a lot of restaurants within walking distance, but it is a beach with a TON of amazing restaurants and activities within a short driving distance.

Our first stay in Singer Island

This past November, we stayed at the Marriott Ocean Pointe Resort. While it is a Marriott Vacation Club Resort, guests can also book through Marriott's main website as if it were a regular Marriott hotel.

We stayed in a Guest Room with a king bed, pull-out sofa, kitchenette, full bathroom, and a balcony with an ocean view.

The ocean view was absolutely stunning. The water was a crystal clear blue and the palm trees were absolutely gorgeous as they swayed in the wind.

We stayed at the resort during Thanksgiving week and it was a little bit chilly and windy that week. Even though it wasn't a perfect beach week, we still had a blast.

Because it was a Vacation Club resort, there were all kinds of activities throughout the day at the resort. You could watch movies, get ice cream, go to a swim aerobics class, go to the gym, play mini-golf, beach volleyball, swing on a bench, or even just grab a drink.

Whenever we go to a resort, we love to go to the hot tub and relax, sit by the fire pit and grab a snack, or go for a walk. Ocean Pointe was perfect for all of those things!

Our Favorite Place to Eat in Town

During our stay, we ate at quite a few different restaurants. With all of my food allergies, writing that sentence makes me giddy. It is always so much fun to have a variety of options when vacationing.

By far, our favorite place to eat was Christopher's Kitchen. Located in Palm Beach Gardens, Christopher's Kitchen is a family-owned, plant based, organic restaurant with a thoughtful and tasty menu! Now you might be wondering what I mean by thoughtful...

I say thoughtful because every item on the menu was marked with major allergens. Most options could be adjusted according to your needs and the servers were very knowledgable about each option on the menu. If they didn't know the answer, they were going to find out. They never made you feel bad about asking and were extremely kind.

For reference, my husband is vegetarian and I am vegan. I am allergic to gluten, dairy, soy, and egg.

My husband ordered a pizza Veggie Sausage Pizza which had a vegan sausage, red sauce, cashew cheese, caramelized onions, peppers, parsley, and a soft, delicious crust.

I ordered the Fajitas. Let me just tell you, those fajitas were FIRE! Fresh made corn tortillas, beautifully cooked veggies, rice, black beans, salsa, and guacamole. What more can a girl ask for?

We are headed back to Singer Island this summer and will definitely be coming back to Christopher's Kitchen several times throughout the week. How could you not?

All in All

We absolutely loved Singer Island! We loved it so much that we will be heading back there this summer. It is a beautiful Marriott Resort with lots to do on property, stunning views, and a ton of nearby options. The best part of all, there were so many allergy friendly restaurants nearby.

If you are interested in going to Marriott's Ocean Pointe in Singer Island, I would love to help make that possible for you!
